A hand made and hand-painted octagonal shaped jewellery box from Rajasthan, India, circa 1990s.
Made from an inner shell of wood and then covered with panels of bone.
Finished by hand painting the floral pattern in red, green and gold.
The inside is lined with black felt, and there is black felt on the outside bottom.
It has a hinged lid with a brass hinge.
A lovely piece of handmade decorative folk art from Rajasthan.
