Antique 1800's Asian Indian Mughal Bidri Ornate Inlaid Silver Jar. Made in India. It measures 4" tall x 3.5" in diameter. It has a some very light wear from age but overall it is in great condition. The lid is missing. Heavy for its size. "Bidri is a technique of inlaying zinc vessels with brass, silver, or gold, uniquely Indian and originating in the city of Bidar in the Deccan. Bidri ware is characterized by its black surface coloring and dates back to the late 16th or early 17th century4. The technique is used in both metalwork and paintings."
